It’s almost time to Rise Up Against Addiction!
Our 5K Run/Walk is THIS Saturday at Piedmont Park! Here are some important event details to keep in mind.

10th St NE & Charles Allen Dr.
Parking is limited. Carpooling and public transit is highly encouraged.
Marta (Subway) Midtown Station:
Upon exiting the Midtown Station, take 10th Street towards Peachtree Street and continue on 10th. You'll pass Piedmont Avenue and the Charles Allen Dr. Park Entrance. The event will be on your left.

*Please follow event signs to the Meadow.
Street parking is available on a first come first serve basis on the south side 10th St NE.

7:30 AM – Site Opens
8:30 AM – Opening Ceremonies at Center Stage
9:00 AM – 5K Starts
12:00 PM – Site Closes
Note: 5K runners will start the race, followed by 5K walkers.
If you registered to run the 5K, you’ll need to pick up your runner’s bib with timing chip no later than 8:45 AM at the Runner Bib Pick-Up tent. Results will be posted at the same tent after the run.
After the event on Saturday, be sure to stop by our running store partner, the Big Peach Running Company for $10 off your purchase of $50 or more with this coupon and thank them for supporting the Rise Up Against Addiction 5K!
Walkers will start immediately after all runners have crossed the start line.
The day will be packed with things to see and do, so plan to get there early! (We recommend arriving by 8:00 AM). Read full event day details here.
You’ll stand together in solidarity with other walkers and runners, both supporting families who have lost a loved one to the disease of addiction and celebrating those who are living in recovery.
Every dollar you raise goes directly to programs that will end the devastation of addiction: evidence-based resources, state and federal advocacy, and a strong community of families offering support.
Team up to help end the devastation addiction causes families, and recruit others to join you at the Shatterproof Rise Up Against Addiction 5K Run/Walk. After you register, you will have the option to create or join a team.
Teams have access to a variety of resources, including a team webpage and tools for recruiting team members and fundraising. In addition, teams are eligible for a variety of benefits on the day of the event. Learn more here.

Your participation in the Shatterproof Rise Up Against Addiction 5K Run/Walk enables us to advocate for policy change on the state and federal level, expand access to treatment and recovery programs, and help end the stigma of addiction.

Fundraising is a key part of the Run/Walk experience. Every participant will receive a personal fundraising webpage, email and social media tools, and many other resources to raise money.
One hundred percent of the money raised by participants will directly fund Shatterproof’s programs related to addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery.
