Upon exiting the Midtown Station, take 10th Street towards Peachtree Street and continue on 10th. You'll pass Piedmont Avenue and the Charles Allen Dr. Park Entrance. The event will be on your left.

Street parking is available on a first come first serve basis on the south side 10th St NE.

Welcome to the Event
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our amazing volunteers who help you locate runner check-in, team tents, the Shatterproof Community Village, and so much more. We can’t wait to welcome you on event day. If you have questions before the event, contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We have partnered with a variety of local organizations to showcase substance use disorder resources in your community. In addition, you can find more information about Shatterproof and our corporate partners in the village.

Why I Rise Up Against Addiction
We encourage you to share why you are rising up against addiction before, during, and after the event. As a participant, you'll have the opportunity to create a Why I Rise Up bib to wear during the 5K, submit your story to display on our center stage screens, and/or tell your story to our on-site videographer. Whether you are rising up to celebrate your recovery or in memory of a loved one, we want to help you share it.
As a tribute to those who we miss so dearly, we will be displaying photos and stories of our lost loved ones in our Memorial Gallery. Bring a 4x6 photo of your loved one and we will help you create a tribute to hang in the gallery and to wear close to your heart during the event.

Top Fundraiser Tent
Top Fundraisers are to pick up your Shatterproof jacket at the Donations tent. Learn more about how to become a Top Fundraiser here.
All teams that raise $10,000 or more, through sponsorship and/or fundraising, earn the opportunity to have a tent in the Team Village. This is a great opportunity to unite your team before and after the 5K. Many teams provide breakfast, style their tents with a fun theme, and distribute their team t-shirts from their tents. Team Meeting Area
We will have three large colored banners (orange, green and blue) in the Team Meeting Area so you can pick a spot for your team to meet before and/or after the 5K. When you arrive, stop by the sign making table to make a team sign. Once everyone arrives, unite to take a team photo. Team photos will be available online within 48 hours of the event.
We will have a variety of photo areas throughout the event so you can take selfies or have your team photo taken by a professional photographer. We will also have volunteers ready to use your cell phone to take a photo so you can instantly share it on social media! Don’t forget to tag us and use the #Shatterproof5kATL
Photos taken by professional photographers will be available online within 72 hours of the event.
Runner Check-In & Results
All individuals who register to run and be timed will need to pick up their runner’s bib with timing chip no later than 15 minutes before the start of the race. Results will be posted at this same tent after the run.
As you run or walk, you will learn more about Shatterproof's mission and our addiction prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts. There will be a water stop along the route with lots of volunteers and signage to guide you!
We encourage you to mail your donations to Shatterproof prior to the event. If you do bring them on event day, they will be collected at the Donations tent.
We have a variety of items available for sale at the event so you can purchase appreciation gifts for your donors or supplement your wardrobe with some great Shatterproof gear. Get a preview here!
Food and Beverage
Bananas, granola bars, and water are provided for every participant near the start/finish line and water is supplied along the route. No other food or beverage will be served. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own.
Event Day FAQs
How long is the run/walk route?
The route is approximately 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles. There will be a water stop along the route and lots of volunteers and signage to guide you!
What is the age requirement?
There is no age requirement to participate.
Do I need to train or prepare?
It is not necessary to train for the Shatterproof Rise Up Against Addiction 5K experience.
Will I receive a T-shirt?
All participants who raise $100 or more will earn a T-shirt. A claim form is emailed to you and upon completion your T-shirt will be mailed to you. Or, you can pick up your T-shirt at the Donation Tent on the day of the event.
What time should I arrive?
We encourage you to arrive between a minimum of an hour before the start of the race so you have time to unite with your team, explore the event activities, take photos, participate in our program and line up for the 5K.
Is there a bag check area at the event?
No. All participants are responsible for their items at all times.
Is my registration fee refundable if I am unable to run?
All registration fees and donations are non-refundable.
